How do I provide my staff
a platform
to Feel Heard
while valuing others?

We must meet people where they are.

Authentic Leadership Workshops

Our Authentic Diversity Leadership Program has partnered with award-winning historians and global leaders while providing a safe environment to have meaningful dialogue around human and civil rights.

We have created powerful programs impacting over 4,000 students and adults over the past 13 years. We have gained national attention by creating thoughtful leaders with different perspectives as we unpack history through important and relevant conversations.

SAA will customize a program to positively affect your employees and management teams.

Program Core

The core of our program is Human and Civil Rights. That is the basis of the content. Our content starts with the pure understanding and realization of everyone’s human and civil rights. Our three primary focus areas are Black History, the Holocaust/Genocides, and Systemic Racism.

Our workshops engage global leaders who address difficult topics through storytelling and real-life experiences. The Authentic Diversity Program looks to provide invaluable hands-on opportunities and a historical foundation that will enable participants to positively impact our society.

Our approach understands that all participants are in a different place and we provide a flexible platform to meet each person where they are. The content focuses on inclusivity, diversity, equality, and equity.

Corporate Virtual Instructor Led Training

Our team develops a customized Diversity Leadership Workshop Series for each client.  This 8-12 hour course can be presented over a few days or multiple weeks depending on our clients needs.

Corporate On-site Led Training

SAA’s Authentic Diversity Team meets in-person with our clients executive group and employees throughout our workshops. Our hands-on engagement is unique and helps create a safe environment allowing us to build trust and camaraderie quickly. SAA provides different perspectives from different backgrounds allowing the group the opportunity to engage more fully and thoughtfully.

On Demand Training Workshops

SAA offers our corporate partners the ability to offer training across the board to all employees or members with our online On Demand Option. Thousands of employees are able to receive our training at the time that best fits each individuals schedule. Our Authentic Diversity Workshops are tailored to the needs of each client and compliments the goals of each organization.

“In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

—Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We believe to achieve a common understanding,
the first step is to link our history to the present.

The Workshops

We are humbled by the opportunity to partner with a variety of global leaders who have been instrumental in addressing difficult topics that our world is facing. SAA’s curriculum is proven to be effective by closely partnering with leaders that have first-hand experience centered around the holocaust and genocides, civil rights, racism and systemic oppression. This collaboration has resulted in meaningful storytelling and hands-on activities embedded in our workshops. Our framework is flexible and customized in order to reach all participants at all levels.

As we work together, we will tackle important issues and provide perspective in a meaningful way that will be memorable. We aren’t standing on a platform instructing participants to believe one thing and not another. We meet everyone at their starting point.

Authentic Diversity is centered around inclusivity, equality, equity, and empathy.

Workshop Goals

Most likely each organization and participant has set a goal of some sort at the start of our engagement. Authentic Diversity’s role is to lead and enable rather than provide the answers to very difficult issues facing our world today. Diversity in thinking, backgrounds, beliefs, and values is very complex and real. One small step for one could very well be one big step for another. We create environments that enable you to work your own plan with confidence. We do not pretend to understand all of your goals on day one. What we will do is create an interactive framework and offer a safe environment where each participant will be asked to see and hear different points of views.

We will achieve this by:

• Introducing listening techniques and respectful interpersonal skill builders

• Ensure meaningful and impactful discussions through 1:1, small group pods and larger level setting

• Establishing trust and respect with all participants and facilitators

• Enculturate a “listening to understand” and “leading with questions” mentality

• Foster community building that ignites your personal and organizational values

• Share foundational values at a higher level to create opportunities for change

• Create meaningful ways to reach different generations

Human Resources and Diversity (Retired)

“We have found that SAA’s Authentic Leadership program presents Human Rights and our nation’s history in a powerful and engaging way. The unique approach to delivering this content deeply resonates with the diverse backgrounds of our membership. The Washington Officials Association looks forward to continuing our partnership as we work together to create lasting, positive change in the culture of officiating across the state of Washington.”

— Todd Stordahl, WOA Executive Director

“My time with SAA was truly transformative. It opened my eyes to the filters we all use to view the world—and how those filters contribute to the challenges that persist in our country today.

Through the work we did with SAA, I gained the confidence and skills to lean into the real, often uncomfortable conversations that we, as leaders, must be willing to have.

Change can start with a single conversation. If we hope to eliminate inequality, we must be willing to have those conversations—in our offices, classrooms, boardrooms, and courtrooms. SAA gave me the foundation to do just that.”
